The IQA project was launched through a partnership between ANFAVEA and Sindipeças, in response to the growth of the domestic automotive sector, with the initial mission of certifying automotive products for compliance with national standards.
[:pb]Em 1993 e 1994, mais entidades se somaram ao desenvolvimento, delineando os princípios que nortearam a linha de atuação do Instituto, de modo que seus resultados correspondessem às necessidades do setor nos segmentos: produtores, consumidores e neutros. O resultado desse desenvolvimento foi a realização da Assembleia de Constituição do IQA, em 14 de dezembro de 1994. Naquela data, entidades representando a indústria, o governo e os trabalhadores, convocadas através de edital, aprovaram o Estatuto Social, constituindo assim o IQA, como entidade de direito privado, com atuação nacional, sem fins lucrativos.[:en]Coordenação Geral de Acreditação do INMETRO para certificação de produtos e serviços automotivos sob a identificação OCP 0009, para verificação de desempenho de produtos sob a identificação OVD 0017, para certificação de sistemas de gestão da Qualidade NBR ISO 9001 sob a identificação OCS 0013, para certificação de sistemas de gestão ambiental NBR ISO 14001 sob a identificação OCA 0023 e para ensaios de laboratório sob a identificação CRL 1093.[:]
Established in 1995, the IQA’s structure is the result of a collaborative effort involving industry, government, and workers, guided by a strategic vision essential for social and economic progress in an increasingly competitive global economy.
IQA’s 10th-anniversary celebration. With its new headquarters, the organization has also specialized in the certification of automotive products and services and has established partnerships with ABNT and INMETRO.
Celebrating IQA’s 15th anniversary. With the opening of the Brazilian market to imports during that decade, the need to improve the quality of processes and products grew, and as a result, so did IQA’s role in the automotive sector.
Presentation of the 1st IQA Forum. Under the theme “Quality as a Competitive Advantage,” the event brought together key industry leaders to foster a discussion on advancements in the automotive sector.
Opening of the IQA Laboratory – SOROCABA TECHNOLOGY PARK Covering an area of 1.2 million square meters, the facility has been strategically organized into spaces dedicated to fostering innovative startups, R&D&I activities, collaborative projects with higher education institutions, and areas for future projects.
IQA’s 20th Anniversary Celebration. The event will highlight productivity gains in the Brazilian automotive industry achieved through product certification, automotive services, and management systems, as well as training programs, technical publications, and laboratory testing.
Inauguration of the new headquarters, launch of the new visual identity, 2030 strategic plan, and signing of the UN Women Global Compact.
Celebration of IQA’s 25th anniversary and launch of the Automotive Quality Trail, an event leading up to the 8th IQA Forum, which will take place in 2021.
